SOBRE MI

I am Sonia Pibernat, a jeweler and teacher, and I have dedicated more than fifteen years to exploring the link between contemporary creation and the personal processes that make it possible. I trained at the Massana School and the Industrial School, graduating in 2009.

In 2015, I enrolled at Hochschule Trier Campus Idar-Oberstein (Germany), where I completed a Master of Fine Arts degree specializing in contemporary jewelry, graduating in 2018. Since then, my work has been exhibited in galleries and museums across Europe, the United States, and Japan. Currently, I manage Aglaya, a jewelry space in Ciutadella de Menorca, where artistic creation, training, and mentorship for jewelers seeking to develop a distinctive style converge. There, I teach classes, organize creative residencies, and collaborate with other professionals in the industry.


On a professional level, I can say that I have a holistic view of jewelry, since throughout my career I have worked in different areas that have allowed me to approach this craft from multiple perspectives. I began by participating in artisan markets, later I was part of the production department in companies in the sector, and since 2018, I have collaborated with galleries and exhibited my work in renowned museums, focusing on artistic jewelry.
